The “glaisière” is an old clay quarry exploited until 1982. At the end of operations, the site was rehabilitated by the Departmental Council. It consists of a pond with steep banks and an island hollowed out in its centre. Wetland reforestation occupies part of the site, which also includes typical Lower Boulogne hedge meadows and an orchard of local varieties. A walking loop lets you go around this natural area and enjoy the different viewpoints. You can pass above the pond and on through a peaty woodland all on a path accessible to everyone.
